• ...the Edit page for "Arts Individuals" appears...here you modify your details...make corrections or add some information. When you've done this, click "Submit Changes"...
  • DANGER: to the right of the "Submit Changes" button is the "Erase" button...clicking this will delete all your data and your ID number...it will never work again.

  • Note: this Edit page is very similar to the Submit pages for "Arts Individual", "Arts Business", and "Arts Events".
  • Note: when editing data as a business or as an individual you have an extra four text boxes (text fields) to utilise... adding data to these boxes activates "Quicklinks" and "Showcase"...if you have a Web Artsite of your own that includes URL addresses for the most often up-dated information there...news, calendars, forms, projects,CV, What's New...this is where to place them.
They must be complete addresses (URLs) starting http://www.
If you don't have such linkables or a Web address, make sure you select and delete the http://www. detail in each field.

  • Hint: To find the URL's, open your own site now in a separate page of your Browser and click on the relevant pages...look at the Browser Address Bar...it shows the URL of that page. Select and copy it, then go back to the open ADU Edit page and paste it into the box it will link with. If you have URLs for the other three boxes, do the same...otherwise leave them CLEAR. Now you can Submit the changes...now your records are available in an extra way, and your up-date is at the top of a list on ADU's Home page AND the top of the "Quicklinks" or "Showcase" pages.

  • ...and the "Verification" page appears. Check if your ID number is the same. If it is different, it is still your number...the old one will have been written over...write it down now...better still copy and paste it to your own ADU Management folder. If you don't have one make one now. Review your efforts and...

  • Note: the number / code on the illustration to the left is fictitious and leads nowhere.

  • Note:...if the "Verification" page doesn't appear, and instead an "ERROR" page appears, hit your Browser's "Back" button and check your entry...if the error still persists, hit the "Refresh" button of your Browser, or throw out the submission and start from scratch.

  • ...now it's time to check your details and TEST how it all looks on the Web...go back to ADU's Home page and see if your entry is at list top. Click it there and...

  • ...you will go directly to your entry. Scan the page for faults, click an orange "Quicklink" at the bottom of your read-out...and you'll enter the appropriate page in your own site (if you've included the appropriate URL). The new page will open in a new window, so closing that page will return you to ADU for further testing or browsing.

  • If you need to re-edit because of some mistake... you'll need to start over...click the "Edit ADU" link...paste in your number and click the "Find Records" button. Repeat the process until satisfied...you can't wear anything out !

  • Note: Clicking a "Quicklinks / Showcase" link will take you to a separate page listing the most recent forty updated sites in all categories and ADU nations, that have "Quicklinks" activated. Find out more about this in the "Quicklinks" Tutorial.

  • Note: the front or "Home" page of ADU has lists of the most recently submitted or changed records under five headings: "Arts Individual", "Arts Business", "Arts Events", "Much ADU" and "Visitors Book". The entries are not in alphabetical order...but chronological. The one at the top is the latest modified or submitted record ... this allows records to remain in immediate view as long as they are regularly modified...the reward for "up-dating"...very useful to those with "emergency" last-minute information about changed schedules, cancellations...as well as commercial promotions...Art sales... reminders... comments... and contact.
