The
"Submit to MUCH ADU"
button creates a brand new record
This tutorial has two pages.
|
The
front page of ADU has lists of the most
recently submitted or changed records under five headings: "Arts
Individual",
"Arts Business", "Arts Event", "Much ADU"
and "Visitors Book". The entries are in chronological order,
not alphabetical...
so the one at the top is the latest...until it is displaced by more
recent entries and is eventually pushed off the list...but not
out of the database. "Much ADU"and "Visitors Book"
have only five slots each for this purpose on the Home page.
Both can be searched by way of their links...the links are included on every
page of ADU.

BLUE-GREEN:
introductions, emphasis, conclusion
PINK: tutorial steps
YELLOW: notes and
hints for tutorial steps
GO:
......to start ANY KIND OF SUBMISSION
of ADU's databases,
click on the "SUBMIT ADU" link on any page.
In this tutorial, we've done so on the front or 'Home page' of
the site. This takes you to........
- Note:
you can also go directly to the "Read Much ADU" page by clicking
on the "Much ADU" link wherever you find it...
|
| |
|
 |
- ....the
'Submission Selection page'. Here you select the KIND
of submission that you want to make. For this tutorial, consider
yourself an essayist with a point to make (If you have an "Essay"
at hand in a text folder, open that folder ready to copy and paste it
into the "Message" field on the Yellow registration plate
page)...so click on "SUBMIT TO MUCH ADU". This takes
you to.....
- MUCH
ADU is for the literary folk who have something to say and would
like the world to
read
it...poetry, prose, commentary, cautionary tales, fables, facts, and
fictions.
- VISITORS
BOOK is for the shorter comment or quick message to anyone you know
might be watching the site with you in mind... FOR THOSE AWAY FROM
HOME directing their messages to a focus...the kind of communications
made from Internet Cafés anywhere in the world...the expatriates
and the travellers.
- As
with all submissions to ADU, the most recently submitted or modified
of all records appear on the Home page of ADU
|
| |
|
 |
- ...the
"Submit to MUCH ADU" page. This is where you will submit
your endeavours to the WORLD at large...
- ...READ
THE MESSAGE IN THE LARGE TEXT FIELD and the prompt lines in the two
text boxes, then select each and clear (delete or cut) their
contents.
Now...
|
| |
|
 |
- ...copy
prepared text from your own MUCH ADU management folder, and paste it
into the cleared and selected text field. If you don't have such
a folder, make one now... keep your drafts there...do all your editing
and perfecting there. Avoid direct typing, it puts your efforts in jeopardy
and wastes a lot of on-line time...(the
"Visitors Book" is for direct typing)...
- Hint:
plan
your "Submission sessions" and use the URLs for the
pages concerned to go directly to either without needing to open from
ADU's home page...
These are the URLs; copy them to your MUCH ADU management folder:
MUCH ADU

VISITORS
BOOK
http://www.artsdownunder.com/aduhtml/visitorsbook.htm
IN
THE FUTURE: when next you're ready to submit something new, open
your Web Browser AND your management folder:
...copy and paste the Submit to MUCH ADU URL to the Browser
Address Bar...click enter...the yellow WORLD registration plate
appears...select the whole submission field and then copy and paste-in
your contribution. Add the necessary information to the two text boxes
and click the "Submit" button...It
can take a very short amount of on-line time...
|
| |
|
 |
- ...now
add the necessary information to the two text boxes and click
the "Submit" button...
- UPPER
BOX: here you can add user name /
alias / nom de plume /
initials
- LOWER
BOX: here you can add your E-mail address
or location.
- YOU
DON'T HAVE TO FILL OUT EITHER...suit yourself as to how much of your
self you are willing to publish...keep your privacy in mind. REMEMBER
TO CLEAR UNUSED BOXES. You can leave both blank and rely on your submission's
title...this only adds to the phenomenal out-put of that multi-faceted
individual "Anon".
